Camelback Mountain

Spring and summer mark a great time of year.

The winter layers can finally be shed. The sun shines just a bit brighter and it’s just a bit more enticing to go outside.

Even though many cities are known as concrete jungles, there are often several places you can go in and around the city to get exercise and enjoy nature.

Phoenix moving company, Daniel’s Moving & Storage, love the close proximity of excellent outdoor adventures. We wanted to share some of our favorite ways to get out and get some exercise in Phoenix.

  • Camelback Mountain- This mountain lies just outside of the city and is a great adventure.  Hike to the top for some breathtaking views. Be sure to wear hiking boots or sneakers though.
  • Piestewa Peak- This is another great mountain to climb. Its steep sides make for a great challenge.  Be sure to bring water, especially in summer!
  • Biking- Biking in the South Mountain Park and Preserve is a great way to spend the afternoon.  With roughly 50 miles of trails, you can ride all day long.  It’s also a great place for hikers and horse riders so be sure to mind others or crossing the trails.

These are just three options to choose from.  There are numerous other parks and nature preserves to check out and explore.  When we feel like taking a bigger trip, we head to the Grand Canyon and enjoy its challenging hikes and awe-inspiring views.

Phoenix is a great city for those who love the outdoors.  Every weekend provides you with a new adventure and great exercise.  If you are moving to Phoenix, our Phoenix movers handle the logistics of your move.  You have places to explore!
